Terms of Service
Last updated: 8 October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of LectureVoice (the "Service"), operated by S39 Labs. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
LectureVoice lets you upload slide decks, generate narration scripts with AI, clone a voice from recordings you provide, and assemble narrated lecture videos. Features may change as the Service improves.
2. Free to use; donations are optional
The Service is free. You may choose to make a donation to help cover running costs, but no feature requires payment, and declining to donate never limits what you can do. Donations are processed by PayPal and are covered by our Donations & Refunds policy. We may introduce paid features in the future; if we do, we will tell you before anything is charged.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. You must give accurate information and be old enough to form a binding contract where you live (and at least 16).
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the slides, scripts, recordings and videos you create with the Service ("Your Content"). You give S39 Labs a limited licence to store and process Your Content only to provide the Service to you, for example to write scripts, synthesise audio and render videos.
You can delete your voices and projects at any time in the app. To delete your whole account, email us at contact@s39labs.com. See our Privacy Policy for details.
5. Voices and consent
- Only upload a voice that is your own, or that you have the clear, informed permission of its owner to clone. Creating an HD voice requires you to confirm this.
- Do not use a cloned voice to impersonate anyone, or to create content that is misleading, deceptive or unlawful.
- Generated audio carries an inaudible watermark identifying it as AI-generated. Do not remove or tamper with it, and do not present generated narration as a real recording where that would mislead people.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Impersonate a person or organisation without authorisation.
- Create content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful or fraudulent.
- Infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
- Attempt to disrupt the Service, overload it, or gain unauthorised access to it or to other users' data.
7. AI-generated output
Scripts and narration are generated by AI and may contain mistakes. Review them before you publish or teach with them; you are responsible for how you use the output.
8. Availability
We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we provide it "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, S39 Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue or profits arising from your use of the Service.
10. Ending your use
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, especially for misuse of voice cloning.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If we make material changes we will give reasonable notice. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
